Do You Need Therapy? FAQ Interns Resources Home
Hello. My commitment to help my clients grow and change
is deep and reflected in the way that I do therapy.
Therapy will not work without the ability to feel safe and cared for in an appropriate way. A sense of emotional safety is essential in every session. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in San Ramon. I have been licensed since 1994 after getting my master’s degree in Counseling from California State University, Hayward. I have been working with children and families for over 30 years. I have a well rounded practice that includes clients as young as 3 and as old as 83.
I have advanced training in crisis and trauma recovery. I am a certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) practitioner as well as having training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. After working for Children’s Protective Services for 6 years I began focusing my practice on treating traumatized children and their families by using the Play Therapy model of treatment. I am also a long time member in good standing of the California Association For Marriage and Family Therapy. I have an experienced Marriage and Family Therapy Intern that works with me to provide affordable counseling services.
